This
swashbuckling yarn starred the master, Errol Flynn, in his last all-out
action role
for the Big Screen. It was filmed
at MGM Elstree studios, in England.
Peter recalled one particular scene
where he was dueling with Errol, and the star almost
hit him with his broadsword. Errol
apologised for his error. 'This is dangerous!' he said,
'come with me, Peter'. And so saying,
he led our young charge over to the producer,
whereupon he told him to pay Peter
a bigger fee because of the danger involved!
As they walked back to the set he whispered
to Peter: 'Just take the money and run!'
Which is precisely what Peter did...
Peter crossed swords with Errol again
a couple of years later, on his tv series
'Errol Flynn TV Theatre'...
