Christopher Lee is the Spanish Privateer
in charge of the "Diablo", a
galleon adrift off the Cornish coast after the defeat of the Armada.
He and his crew convince the locals that, in fact, it is Drake who
has lost the battle, and thus they seize control of the town. But
some of the townsfolk aren't so easily swayed...

This was one of three pirate films made by Hammer in the 60s,
"Devil Ship Pirates" kept Peter busy with plenty of action to choreograph,
including several swordfights. Indeed, he received a rare opening credit
for his work on the film.

But he was also employed on the other side of the camera, as you'll
      see below...

Peter features on screen throughout the film. He plays
one of the Spanish crew. You can't miss his bald head and pink
shirt, popping up in numerous scenes. It's a meaty role, though
it's non-speaking, and he's uncredited for his performance.

His most noticable appearance occurs during the tavern fight
54mins in to the film. That's him, above, urging on the fighters.
He's clearly seen hauling up one of the duellists and casting
     him back into the frey...
